Want a gift?

I got this cute idea from Whitney! This is what you do: The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. There's a small catch though...Post this same thing on your own blog and then come back and leave a comment telling me you're in. But only the first three people to comment get the gift! Good luck!

Kylers sleep study

Yesterday Kyler and I were down in Salt Lake for Kyler to have a sleep study done. And oh was that fun can I just tell you. At the very begining it wasn't to bad Kyler was just watching Signing Time but then he was done with being good. He started yelling and getting in all his weird possions, you know like the splits and pushing your hand off his head with his feet.

It took us a while but we finally got everything on and got him in his carseat to fall asleep. He was happy now that we were leaving him alone. But that is nothing like the rest of the night, he was not so happy. I don't really blame him, did you see how many wires there were? And if you know Kyler doesn't ever hold still, not even when he is sleeping. After Kyler was asleep we took him out of his carseat and put him in the bed, and lucky me got to sleep, or should I say not sleep, next to him. So he kept twisting up in the wires and they kept coming off so the Tech. would come in and we would have to put them all on again, and no he was 'not happy about this at all!!' and he let us know. This happened about 4 to 5 times from 10 pm - 6 am. Kyler would just go right back to sleep but ofcourse it wasn't that easy for me so lets just say I didn't get much sleep. So when 6am came around the tech came and woke us up to get ready to go. So while I was filling out papers she was in the next room trying to un tangle the big ball of wires that we just took off Kyler....lol

I think he was secretly laughing, "that's what you get for putting those stupid wires on me."

He looked like a little science project after we were all done. It was so funny when we got home Braxten looked at Kyler and looked at me and started laughing "Are you sure that is Kyler?". So after I got everything situated I told Josh I was going to go take a bath and go to bed. I finally went to bed at 11am and didn't wake up until 5pm. I am pretty sure I'll still be able to sleep tonight also.

Kyler taking care of his baby

On Friday Kyler came out of BrynLee's room with this baby up on his shoulder patting it's back. It was so cute. He came in the livingroom and sat on the couch and was rocking his baby. Then when he was done doing that he got off the couch and put the baby in his carseat. After he got done there he took it down the hall, an hour later I went back to the changing table to change Kinley and there was Kylers baby waiting to be changed. I just love seeing how grown up he is getting.

Kinley is 4 weeks old

Today Kinley is 4 weeks old. It has gone by so fast. She is already getting so big so fast. Last she was weighed she weighed 7 lb. 11 oz.
In the last 4 weeks Kinley has gone through alot. 1st she had to go through the whole getting here part, then the getting used to being here.

On day 2 she had lots and lots of new people to meet, including her brothers and sister.

And in the first week of coming home she got pulled out of her swing (Thanks to Kyler). BrynLee tried to get her out of her cradle and dropped her and BrynLee also put an elastic bracelet on Kinleys wrist and made sure it was so tight that it wouldn't come off (or let blood flow) and I didn't find it until it had been on for at least 2 hrs.

She also has been fought over by her brothers and sister.

Her 1st real bath, that she hated if you couldn't tell...lol I also had alot of help.

She has gone and met some of her great-grandparents.
On Sunday we went and saw grandpa Farrell.

Lets just say we were chasing Kyler the whole time, telling him "don't touch that come here". He kept throwing things down the stairs and running and yelling "RAHH" at everyone. I think he was wearing grandpa out just from watching him.

Kyler thought he need to help grandpa with Kinley...lol

Sadie (Grandpas dog) wanted in on the fun too.

Kinley Grace Leishman

On Jan. 19th 2009 Kinley Grace was born at 8:20 pm. She was 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 19 inches long. She is very healthy and has lots of hair. (Yeah I finally got a gene in there...lol This is our 1st one with lots of dark hair) She also eats really really well. (This is a huge thing for us.)

On Tues. the 20th the kids came up to see her and can I just tell you how happy they are to finally be able to hold their little sister.
First was Braxten - He had to undress her from head to toe and look at everything. He took off her socks so he could see her toes and he wanted to see her belly and her ears and her "tiny hands"..lol It was so funny to see how interested in every detail he was and still is, I have to keep telling him to leave her clothes on, whenever he holds her...lol

Next was BrynLee - She is so excited to have a little sister. She couldn't quit smiling. She has to keep telling and showing us what she can do by herself. Like picking her up all by herself with us yelling "wait you need help". We have to keep reminding her that she is a baby not a doll...lol She also wants to know why I get to hold her and feed her more then she gets to, so I had to inform her that I'm the mom and she is the sister and that's why...lol Let's just say we have lot's of "helping hands" at our house...lol

Now it was Kylers turn - He has really suprised me I thought that he would hold her for min. and then be done. But he has been more interested then I thought that he wouls be. He has also been really careful (most of the time that is..lol).
When he came to the hospital he signed "want baby" so we sat him in the chair and he held her really soft, but when other people were holding her he would try to grab her to hold her so we have to watch him. He is still pretty interested at home when someone is holding her.

Christmas morning 2008

Well Jake and Crissy slept over so they could see the kids Christmas morning. And the part that I think is the funniest is that it was BrynLee this year that was the most excited. She woke up at 2:30 a.m. and I guess she woke up Braxten and big surprise Braxten wasn't happy with what he got he said "I hardly got anything I'm going to go back to bed" So help me if this kid survives this Christmas....lol But BrynLee on the other hand she loved everything. The kids said that they were going to go back to bed and BrynLee was going to sleep in Braxtens room but at 4:30 she comes in to my room and wakes me up to tell me "Mom Kyler is so lucky he got chips in his stocking" I said "well that's because he doesn't eat candy. Did you ever go to sleep?" And she said that she didn't so she was up all by herself for 2 hours doing I don't know what. So I started a movie and Jake came out and layed by her for a while. I finally got up at 6:30 and got everyone up at 7 so we could get going. We opened presents and got all ready and went over to mom and dads for breakfast and to open the rest of the presents.

Here is what BrynLee got from Santa. She carries that tiger everywhere. She keeps reorganizing everything in her cupboard over and over....lol

This is what Braxten "hardly got anything" from Santa...lol He got a magic kit and a scooter that he really likes now. Everything isn't just crap...lol

This is some of what Kyler got, if you can't tell I didn't realize I didn't get pictures until today so everything is a little scattered all over the house.

Something that is really cool is on the night of the 23rd. Kyler slept in a big boy bed and stayed there all night and has every night since, all but Christmas eve. Yeah!!!

Now for Christmas 2008

We started out with Grandma Lou's Christmas party on Friday and the kids had alot of fun.

BrynLee finally felt good enough to open her presents.

Kyler has really liked opening presents this year it has been really fun to watch.

After Grandma Lou's Party it was Grandma Marleens on Saturday. But I for got our Camera so I don't have pictures. But Kyler was really having fun showing off his signs and dancing for eveyone...lol
After that was had a party at Kevin and Launa's on Sunday. We had pizza and watched Christmas Vacation and then later that night we hooked up the web cam and Ashley and Riley joined the party from Wissconsin. The kids had alot of fun seeing each other on the T.V. We all opened our gifts and can I just say Braxten needs a swift kick in the butt. He got "Clothes" and "Junnie B. Jones Books" and was he mad. He was so mad and I just told him to tell grandma and grandpa thanks and he just kept pouting and and saying little shoty things but then Grandma haded us our family gift witch was a Wii. Now he was happy but do you think he could show it no way he said "Oh wow a Wii" I was so mad I told him "ok than just give it back". He looked at me and said "no way" so I told him "then go tell grandma and grandpa thanks for all of your gifts". I swear somedays it makes you wonder why they say the things they do. And the really funny thing is is that he is really happy that he got the books, he keeps looking at them.
